Em started performing at the age of five starring in the lead role of the regional theater production of "Annie" in Orlando , FL. Em also performs regularly with the Indiana University Children's Choir. She performed with The Platters at Indiana University Auditorium in June, 2006
Em recorded the radio hit, "We Ride" with upcoming superstar hip hop artist, Camilly, and recently they collarborated on another song, “Serious”.
In 2005, Em opened for the incredible Chaka Khan in Gary, IN. Later that year Em met and collaborated with Randy Jones on Em's first original song, "Where I'm From", lyrics and vocals by Em featuring Skandal-The-Ruckus Man. Recently the song was selected to be on the soundtrack for the novel Platinum Dreams, by Jacki Kash and was released in August, 2006. Em continues to work with producer/songwriter Lance Tolbert, bass player with Mariah Carey and The Order Corp., Los Angeles. Together they wrote and recorded the original song "Dreams."
As well she recently won first place in the annual Bloomington Human Rights Commission's Art & Essay contest with her original song called "When We're all in, We all win."
In May of 2007, Em headlined a gospel concert in Chicago, also featuring Beverly Yvette, True Priase Chorale and more, for the benefit of the Support L.I.F.E. Cancer charity at the United House of Prayer.
In March of 2008, Em spent 10 days in NYC and met up with Ankh Ra Amenhetep, vocal coach for the Makin’ the Bands Acts, Danity Kane and Day 26.
Em continues to write and record with producer Dave Cocalis of the Bloomington Recording Company & Moe Z (formerly w/John Mellencamp). She also just returned from a visit to Detroit, this summer (2008) where she met the ultimate lady, Ms. Martha Reeves, formerly of Motown and spent some time with her and Ms. Maxine Powell.
